Salary: Starting at £29,678 per annum

This service managers role will initially be for 2 four bedded supported living houses in Deal. There would be the chance to open further services in the future.

In your role, you will manage a diverse staff team dedicated to delivering high quality person-centred support. You will be responsible for all elements of the management and administration for the service as well as acting as a hands-on role model for all staff members in your team.

About the Role:

· At Aspens, we have over 100 years of experience in supporting people with learning disabilities and on the autism spectrum as well as children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities or complex needs. We are here to provide practical and emotional support at all levels of independence, in everyday environments and in the community so that each member of our extended family is empowered to live the way they choose. · We are currently recruiting for a Registered Service Manager initially for two new Supported living Homes (total of 8 beds across 2 sites), with scope for other services to be added in 2024, for adults with learning disabilities in Walmer, Deal (a town in the district of Dover). The successful candidate would be expected to obtain shared registration responsibility with CQC and would be supported to successfully complete this process.

· This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious Manager who would relish the opportunity for career development. Aspens is growing and developing its services and the new Manager will be expected, alongside this role to oversee further new or existing service/s once established in the role.

About You:

· As Service Manager you will be expected to have previous management or leadership experience in the provision of supported living services. It is desirable that this experience is in combination with you having worked with those with Autism Spectrum Conditions but this is not essential.

· You should, however, have well-formed knowledge of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health issues, have a good understanding of CQC as applicable in supported living settings and knowledge of current legislation and other social care issues related to learning disabilities, mental capacity and depravation of liberty.

· It is essential that you have had strong relationships with staff in your past roles and have the ability to manage staff training, assessments and supervisions.

· You will need to hold a Level 5 Diploma or equivalent in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care and preferably hold other care sector-related qualifications, however you will also be provided with a full induction and service specific training as part of your role.

· Aspens is growing and developing its services and the new Manager will be expected, alongside this role to oversee other new service/s being developed in 2024.
