Domiciliary Care & Outreach Services in East Sussex


The Domiciliary/Community Outreach Service provides a range of person-centred support to adults who have autistic spectrum conditions.

Support can be offered to individuals from a range of living environments and situations, for example:
  • Living at home with their families
  • Living in supported accommodation
  • Living independently in the community
  • Living in residential care
Support and training aims to develop and achieve the skills and confidence of individuals in all aspects of their lives including:
  • Accessing community and public amenities
  • Travel
  • Work/Employment
  • Education
  • Leisure and Social Skills
  • Daily Living Skills
The Domiciliary Outreach Service is currently classified as a ‘Small Domiciliary Care Agency’ as there are no more than two members of staff dealing with the services administration.

 

For whom is the Service Provided?

 

Domiciliary/Community Outreach Support is provided to adults from the age 18 years who have an autistic spectrum condition and/or other needs, conditions and diagnosis.

Autistic spectrum conditions include:

  • Autism
  • High Functioning Autism
  • Asperger syndrome
Some of the people with autistic spectrum conditions will have additional:
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Downs syndrome
  • Mental Health Problems
  • Pervasive Development Disorder
  • ADHD
Support is flexible and based on individuals support needs and funding such as those in receipt of ‘In Control Budgets’, ‘Direct Payments’ and Independent Living Funds.

We devise and develop a person-centred timetable for individuals providing them with support in the areas that is needed.

The domiciliary team is registered under the Care Quality Commission who may carry out inspections at any time.

East Sussex Staffing


The East Sussex Domiciliary Care & Outreach team consists of a Registered Manager, Service Manager, and Deputy Manager, and at present have ten Community Support Workers. We also have a range of bank/relief staff that we use to cover sickness and annual leave.
