West Sussex County Council Short Breaks FundingAutism Sussex has been fortunate over the past year to receive funding from West Sussex County Council to provide Personalised Short Breaks to children and young people with ASC. This funding finishes at the end of March 2012. Autism Sussex was able to apply for future funding through WSCC Short Breaks team and we have been successful in securing funding for 3 years from April 2012 to March 2015.
The services we provide- Sitting Services (both in the parental home and in the community)
- Individualised support to help children and young people to access various leisure & recreational activities in the community buddying
- Weekend Fun clubs and After School Clubs
- Summer schemes

To request a referral you need to post or email a completed Preliminary Application Children Form to us, please download this form at the bottom of this page.
If you have any difficulties completing the form, we are happy to help.
Once we have received your form, a manager will contact you to discuss the kind of support you would like.
If you then decide to take the application forward and we feel that we can provide the support you need, we will carry out an assessment. This means that we will meet with the child/young person, relevant family members and professionals to discuss needs and ways to support.
