Sussex House Activities

Activities

Sussex House offers a variety of centre-based and community-based activities. Physical exercise is known to be effective in reducing stress, anxiety, self-injury, aggressions and self-stimulatory behaviors and the charity aims to include some physical exercise in each person’s daily program. We are located in a beautiful environment and make use of lovely woods, parks, beaches, historical gardens as well as leisure and community facilities.

Meal times

All food is cooked and prepared on the premises using fresh ingredients bought from local suppliers. We have a four weekly menu which has been approved by a nutritionist.

Each day, service users take turns in assisting with the preparation of the meal. We take into consideration preferences and offer alternatives where necessary. Our kitchen supplies fresh fruit for the morning break and prepares packed lunches for outdoor activities.
