Aspens animals Come and visit our lovely family of Aspens animals at our beautiful site on Cornford Lane, Pembury! We have lots of furry and feathered friends for you to meet, including rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets who live in our small animal barn and donkeys, ponies, sheep, pigs, goats, donkeys, emus and alpacas, who live in enclosures on the grounds.* This area of our site is open to the public and visitors are welcome to come and see our animals throughout the year. There is no entrance charge, but we do ask visitors to consider leaving a donation to support our work and help us maintain and care for our grounds and lovely animals. You can also support us by adopting one of our Aspens animals, find out more below! As well as enjoying seeing our visitors, the animals are also cared for by the people Aspens supports, who are on the autism spectrum or have a learning disability, as part of the City and Guilds Skills for Working Life qualification. There's lots to see and do when you visit Aspens at Cornford Lane. As well as our animals, we have The Bluebell Cafe, which serves a varied menu including freshly prepared meals, delicious homemade cakes, afternoon teas (by pre-order) and drinks. More information about The Bluebell Cafe here. We also have a woodland walk and playground area, giant wind chimes and musical instruments for the little ones to enjoy and an outdoor gym. We ask all visitors to be mindful that our site is at the heart of the living area of many of the people we support, many of whom work in and use the cafe and help care for our animals. We are, essentially, inviting members of the public into their home and we ask you to please be respectful of this at all times. It is also a working site used by Aspens' care, maintenance and office staff. Well-behaved dogs are allowed at our Cornford Lane site in the outside areas only, and should be kept on a lead at all times, including in our fields and woodland areas, as some of the people we support are fearful of dogs and we have livestock on site. Please clear up any dog mess and take home with you. You can find us at Aspens, Cornford Lane, Pembury TN2 4QU. *We ask that our visitors please do not feed our animals as they are on a special diet and eating other foods (including carrots) can make them ill and affect their behaviour. Please ensure children are supervised at all times when visiting our site. Thank you!
